ASMATA inaugurates Onitsha Electronics market ASMATA-APGA Support team

Anambra State Markets Amalgamated Traders' Association, ASMATA, Wednesday, inaugurated ASMATA-APGA Support Group, Onitsha International Electronics market.
Inaugurating the five member team of the group led by the market chairman, Chief Dona Obi, shortly after the prayer session that preceded the inauguration, the State chairman of ASMATA-APGA, Chief Peter Okala, said that the essence of the formation of the group was to create awareness on the achievements of Governor Charles Soludo in the state adding that scores of the people may not be aware of those achievements.
He charged the newly inaugurated team to spread the news of the various achievements which according to him included, roads construction, employment of medical personnel, teachers, installation of street solar lights, free medical care to pregnant mothers, employment of youths through one youth two skills initiative, among others.
The ASMATA PG, Chief Humphrey Anuna, had in his speech urged the traders to always stand by the truth if they want to make it in life and at the same time make heaven.
"We lack knowledge and it makes us to mess up, if you believe in God you will not have problem in your life. With truth you will progress in life.
"Governor Soludo has come to better the welfare of the people and all can attest to it. We are not here for campaign, when the time comes for campaign we talk about that. We are here to create awareness on his achievements in two years," he stated.
The ASMATA PG who disclosed that he was a former Vice President General of the market, recalled that he gave free medical treatment to traders in the market through zoning, adding that the next one would be market to market.
Commending the ASMATA religious group and ASMATA-APGA team, the market chairman, Chief Dona Obi, stated that with the preaching today, scores may have turned a new leaf and become children of God.
According to him, "We normally have prayers in the market but today it is a special day because ASMATA prayer team stormed the market as new faces.
On the inauguration of the ASMATA-APGA Support Group of the market which he is the chairman, he reiterated that achievements of the governor will speak for him adding that what he achieved in two years are enough to return him for second tenure
"Come 2025 gubernatorial election APGA will not contest with any political party as the state is APGA stronghold. He is the governor we know,' he stated.
The ASMATA Prayer coordinator, Pastor Jeremiah Eze, had in his sermon urged the traders to turn a new leaf by believing in God.
Pastor Eze who was ably represented by his Secretary, Pastor Richard Chibuzor, added that those who work in the vineyard of God always move forward.
Highlight of the inauguration was swearing in of the ASMATA-APGA Support team by the ASMATA Secretary General, Mr. Macaulay Ekwe.
