Pull out parade: Soludo commends out going CP on crime, others

Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, weekend appreciated the enormous and meritorious feat of the out-going State Commissioner of Police, Aderemi Adeoye in dislodging kidnappers and other criminal elements from eight Local Council Areas of the State on assumption of office. .
Soludo who spoke through his: deputy, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim, at Ekwueme Square, Awka, the State capital, during Saturday's pull-out of the Commissioner of Police, noted that Adeoye assumed office at the time the State government was battling insecurity of unknown gunmen who were fighting law-abiding citizens across the State especially in the said embattled Council Areas.
He observed that the criminal elements constitute Les than two percent of the entire populace of the state, adding that the era marks the beginning of the success story of CP Adeoye's resounding crime prevention and combat accomplishments.
According to him, the spirit of dedication, sincerity of purpose and doggedness of the out-going Police boss contributed to the feat, for which the state adopted him as a honourary citizen of the State.
Also reacting, the Commander, zone 13, Mr. Godwin Ndidi Aghaulor, commended the out going CP for his meritorious service to the state and wished him well in his future endeavors.
Responding, Adeoye said the country invested in him, the product of which manifested in his academic and crime-fighting feats, stressing that Anambra where he assumed office and retiring May 1, 2024 was his crowning glory.
Adeoye explained that his policing career in Anambra State for nine years from 1991 to 2000 when he served under seven Commissioners of Police, rose to Deputy Commissioner of Police and later Commissioner of Police in Anambra State since July 2023..
He disclosed further that Anambra remains high rated among the committee of states, revealing he immensely appreciated the street named after him and the chieftaincy titles he was nominated to bag in the State.
Earlier, Jane Egbuchiem, the. Vice President of Alpha Trust Investment Club (ATIC),. Cooperative Society founded by the out-going CP, whom she described as the Oracle of ATIC, stressed that his love for humanity, human capacity building and upliftment of mankind is unequaled
Also speaking, the Commissioner for Social Welfare, Children and Women Affairs, Ify Obinabo said the out-going CP greatly assisted the Ministry to upp the game for women and children in particular so that they would not be humiliated.
In his remarks, the Traditional Ruler of Umueri, Anambra East Local Council Area, Igwe Ben Emeka lauded the shinning examples of the out-going CP, whom he said would be very much missed by Governor Soludo and the good people of the State whose lives and property he prevented and protected tremendously
Also, the Traditional Ruler of Obosi, Idemili North Local Council Area of the State described Adeoye as a courageous man of integrity,, hard-working, and wonderful crime fighter who equally encouraged young officers to work hard.
The highpoint of the occasion was the launch of a biography of CP Adeoye entitled, "X-ray of Adeoye's Leadership Principles: The Eulogies."
