ASMATA PG commends Soludo on massive infrastructural development

The President General, PG, Anambra State Markets Amalgamated Traders Association ( ASMATA), Chief Humphrey Anuna, has commended Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State, for his massive infrastructural development  of the state especially in the area of road project in the State.

Chief Anuna made the commendation in Onitsha South local government area during the Commissioning of newly constructed Port Harcourt road and Niger Street both in Onitsha South local government area of the State.


He described the two newly constructed roads as paramount to both traders and their customers who come to Onitsha from all parts of South East and beyond, stating specifically that the most beneficiaries of the roads are traders.

 "I thank the Governor for remembering the traders in a special way. All his efforts are  always geared towards the betterment of traders. The most beneficiaries of these roads are traders because it enroutes to Onitsha Main Market which is the pride of Igbos. 


"On behalf of the teeming traders in Onitsha, we thank you so much and once again pledge to support you until your tenure elapses", Anuna affirmed.

Also commenting, the Onitsha South Transition Council Chairman, Hon. Emeka Orji, described the event as a wonderful thing that happened to the people of Onitsha South.

" I am full of joy. Today is a wonderful day for Onitsha South. If you know these roads before, it was used to be death trap for business men and women but today traders can enjoy smooth ride while doing their business" the chairman explained.

Hon. Orji who reiterated that the commissioning of the roads were wonderful things that have happened to Onitsha South inhabitants, cited Iweka road, More Street and Zik's Avenue as additional roads to be commissioned soonest.


He explained further that Onitsha is a commercial city, saying that it is the essence of Governor Soludo to concentrate more in constructing roads in Onitsha.

Hon. Emeka Mbachu, chairman, Sokoto/New Market Roads Traders Association, Onitsha, and his Haruna Street counterpart, Emmanuel Idoko, assured Soludo of their unflinching support throughout his tenure.
