The newly elected chapter executives of Nigerian Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) has assured the Idemili South Local Government Area (ISLGA) Chairman, Hon Mrs Amaka Obi(Iyom Idemili) that the workers will continue to be punctual to work and more productive to ensure that the ISLGA remains the best performing LGA in Anambra State under her Chairmanship.
The ISLGA NULGE exco gave the assurance at the council secretariat, Ojoto during a courtesy call to the Chairman's office.
According to the Chairman ISLGA NULGE, Comrade Innocent Edoziuno, we shall continue to work effectively and efficiently, be more punctual to work and more productive to ensure that Idemili South remains the best performing LGA among the 21 LGAs of Anambra State under your Chairmanship, Iyom Idemili.
"Mrs Amaka Obi is a labor or Nulge friendly Chairman. She is a mother, a go-getter, second to none among the TC chairmen. She has listening ears and has good working relationship with the workers".
"We as NULGE executives will do everything to support her administration and also do our best to protect and project the interest and welfare of our colleagues whom we are representing," said Edoziuno.
In her response, Hon. Mrs Amaka Obi commended them for their support and urged them to ensure that they work in line with Governor Charles Soludo's agenda which will move not only Idemili South, but Anambra State to greater heights.
Mrs Obi further advised them to be role models, both in their private and public lives which will portray her administration in good light
"I know virtually all of you. You are round pegs in round holes. I believe we shall achieve a lot together. If we do our best, Our solution Governor who neither owes salaries nor pensions will not relent in improving the welfare of workers," she said.
The newly elected executives of ISLGA NULGE comrades that went for the courtesy call include Chairman - Innocent Edoziuno, Vice Chairman- Ifeoma Izuobi, Secretary- Chinyere Ukaegbu, Assistant Sec- Chukwudi Ekpunobi, Women Chairperson- Adaoma Udo Jane, Treasurer- Gladys Osadebe, Auditor- Victor Uwaezuoke, Trustee- Anthonia Obuka, Young Workers Rep- Blessing Nwachukwu.
Others are Environmental/Sanitation Rep- Grace Okpukpara, BPRS Rep- Adaora Nwosu, Works Rep- Raphael Udechukwu, Agric Rep- Chinwe Okpala, Admin Rep- Joy Etoniru, Finance Rep- Edna Umennihe and Education/Social Development Rep- Oluchukwu Ezeobidi.
