Police Officers Wives Association, POWA, Anambra State chapter, has donated foodstuffs and other materials worth over N.7million to two Care Giving Centers in the State.

The POWA executive, led by its chairperson, Mrs Bolanle Adeoye, visited Divine Mercy Orphanage Home, Amawbia, and Rehabilitation Center for the Disabled, Old, and Tramps (RECDOT) in Ozubulu where it made the presentations.

The chairperson called on public-spirited individuals to do more for the less privileged in our society.

Responding, the Managers of the Care Centres thanked POWA members for the visit saying it cheered up the people under their care and pledged to ensure that the donated items were judiciously  used for the benefit of their wards.

The Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Tochukwu Ikenga, (DSP),  made this disclosure in a release to newsmen in Oniitsha.
