Movement commiserates with  Sen. Kalu over wife's demise

A political pressure group, Orji Uzor Kalu Grassroots Movement of Nigeria, Wednesday, joined other well meaning Nigerians to mourn the exit of former first lady of Abia, Her Excellency, Lady Ifeoma Orji Uzor Kalu, who untill her death, was the wife of former Governor of Abia State, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu. 

Senator Kalu, who is representing Abia North Senatorial District in the Red Chamber of the National Assembly and also the current Chief Whip of the Senate, announced the death of his wife on his Facebook page, adding that she died at the age of 61. 

The group in a statement signed by its national leader, Alhaji Murtala Mohammed, alias Ten Ten, and made available to journalists at their national headquarters in Abuja, stated that they received the news about the death of Her Excellency, Lady Ifeoma Kalu, with rude shock as such news was not expected at this point in time.

According to the statement  "Since morning our members from across the country have been trooping here to express our sympathy and solidarity to our principal, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, who is in mourning mood following the death of his wife. 

"Thiis is a very sad news to us in particular and Nigeria in general because we have lost a good woman, an amiable mother and a kind hearted fellow who always stood like pillar to her husband and our principal in the cause of service to the father land". 

While consoling the Senate Chief Whip,  his children and entire Kalu family to bear the exit of Lady Ifeoma with fortitude, the group prayed the Almighty God to grant her soul eternal rest.
