NAFDAC bursts sexual enhancement store, seals 2 others in Onitsha

The National Agency for Foods and Drugs Administration and Control, (NAFDAC)Friday, bursted a sexual enhancement store in the Progressive Science and Allied Dealers lane, Bridge-Head Market, Onitsha, Anambra State 

NAFDAC Chief Laboratory Technologist, Mr Usman Amen, who led the investigation and Enforcement Directorate team from Lagos, said that the sexual store was known for selling unregistered and expired drugs also.

Amen gave the names of the sexual enhancement drugs as delay viagra, afrofranil, breast enhancement, ass enhancement, rocket in pocket men gel, tramadol, among others. 

According to him, "We came from from Lagos based on a tip off, before we arrived here, the owner of this sexual enhancement abandoned his store and ran away. 

"In view of all things, we have to break the store and enter, on entering the store, we saw some expired drugs like tramadol, breast enhancer and all kings of sexual drugs enhancers. 

"We ensure that we evaluate the drugs and seal up the store, he will have to come to our office in Lagos for interrogation. 

"We sealed of the store in Ogbo-Ogwu Bridge Head Market because a particular drug we were informed about was not found but the invoice indicated when the drug was sold, 

" The second store was sealed because there are some drugs that are not allowed to be sold, we evaluated them and sealed the stores", he said. 

He called on every individual to be at alert, saying that the drugs that are being produced and in the market are not worth taking. 

The Chief Servant of the lane, where the sexual enhancement store was bursted, Mr George Opara, said that the act was embarrassing and  disturbing.

Opara said that they know who that dealt in genuine businesses and  those that did not, saying that the man in question would be penalized for engaging in such an embarrassing business.
