Still basking in the euphoria of the  popularity of the Labour Party, LP, Presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, which manifested during the conduct of the Presidential election, the chairman of LP in Onitsha North Local Government Area, Chief Charles Ekeke, said Monday, that Nigerians, especially the youths, voted massively for Obi, to reclaim Nigeria from the old order.

Buttressing his claim Ekeke explained that consequently, they, party faithful, now call the party, 'Great Party,' because it is a mass movement party, adding that it was the reason why the party swept the poll and they denied it victory through rigging by Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

"Everybody including the youths want LP because of Obi. Obi is the only person that can reclaim Nigeria back to us. Obi won the election and even Atiku Abubakar, the APC Presidential candidate, supports him.

"We know APC is accusing Obi of  instigating for an interim Government  when it is APC that is behind that. If you want problem in this country arrest Obi. People will be in the streets, especially the youths," he warned.

On the victory of the member-elect for Onitsha North 2 constituency, Chief Pat Okafor, he hinted that they, LP members in the constituency worked very hard for his victory stating that it was when Okafor won the primary election that the party started the victory work for him.

"It was when he won the party primary election that we started the victory work for him. We used every legal arsenal to ensure his victory. Everybody, especially the stakeholders assisted in ensuring victory for him," he revealed.

Contributing a chieftain of the party, Mr. Ugochukwu Nnabuko, said that he joined politics because of Peter Obi's sincerity and love for Nigerians.

"I joined labour Party because of Peter Obi, was was not into politics until the day I heard Obi spoke, and decided to come into politics. So Obi attracted me into politics.

"I am the type that like to move forward and on seeing Patrick Okafor, I said this is my type of person and so I joined to ensure his victory. So Obi, Okafor and myself are of like minds. We are only interested in better welfare for the people.

"I thank God that Okafor is replica of Obi. The first day Okafor addressed us he said that he was interested much in serving the people not himself and that statement added to his victory at the poll," he stated.
