IMAN warns INEC to desit from plot to stop Obi's victory

By Munachim Obi, Onitsha

The chairman, Board of Trustees, (BOT), Importers Association of Nigeria, (IMAN), Chief Gilbert Obi Bravo, Thursday, in Onitsha, Anambra State, warned Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to desist from  any plot aimed at stopping the labour Party, LP, Presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, from being sworn in as the next President of Nigeria, adding that Obi's emergence is divine.

He sounded the note of warning while reacting to the role allegedly played by INEC during the recent Presidential and National Assembly elections pointing out that INEC role was condemnable by majority of Nigerians, International community Civil Society Organizations, among others.

"INEC should try to avoid the wrath of God by doing the needful. Mr. Peter Obi won the Presidential election but INEC gave the victory to Bola Tinubu, and that was why there was no national jubilation from Nigerians when INEC declared Tinubu, President-elect. Everywhere wore mourning mood.

"Obi won the election, he is a very humble man. Obi is God-sent to deliver the country from the old order. If Tinubu is the President of this country, Nigerians will be in trouble.

"Prior to the commencement of the Presidential election I knew Obi will win because Nigerians, especially the youths want change. The youths want to take back their country from the old order. Nobody has been accepted the way Obi was accepted few months to the Presidential election," he hinted.

On the March 18 Governorship and House of Assembly elections, he urged Nigerians to come out en masse as they did in the Presidential election, pointing out that, "Obidients", must maintain the tempo by voting for all LP candidates to show that what happened in the last election was not a fluke.

"I advise all "Obidients," to come out in their large number like they did in the last election to vote for all LP candidates to show that what happened in the last election where LP was voted for, all the way, was not a fluke, but aimed at sacking  those who refused to hand over leadership to the youths .

"Peter Obi is man of the people because of his achievements when he was the Governor of Anambra State. His achievements are still there for all to see. A vote for LP is a vote for better welfare for Nigerians," the BOT chairman posited.
