We are ready for land grabbers in our Anambra community - youth chairman

Irked by the illegal activities in their Agbalagbo Nsugbe community, Anambra East Local Government Area, Anambra State, being perpetrated by land grabbers, the youths in the area, through their chairman, Chukwujekwu Anelobi, Friday vowed to put an end to the illegal activities.
The youths, under the aegis of Agbalagbo Welfare Association, lamented the illegal activities that include, forgery of land documents, touting, illegal levy collection, issuance of fake receipts, among others, stating that any land issue not done in their office a call, Ubanesse road adjacent to Kosisochukwu lodge, and signed by the youth chairman, is null and void and of no effect.
"I want to warn land developers that we have gotten youth office along Ubanesse road, Abata Nsugbe, and that we will not tolerate the illegal activities of land grabbers in our community. Any land issue not carried out in our office is illegal and those behind such illegality must be dealt with.
"We are not unmindful of the existence of inside and outside land grabbers who feel they can have a field day perpetrating atrocities in our community. We want to warn them that this new youth leadership will step on toes of scores of land grabbers.
"Hoodlums go and collect levies from land developers and we want to say that enough is enough. To our neighbouring villages that also encroach on our land, we will not spare you, you are doing that at your own risk, be warned" he advised.
The chairman advised genuine land owners to immediately develop them to avoid revocation adding that the essence of allocating land to them is for development.
He called on Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo to come to their rescue by assisting to arrest the land grabbers most of who according to him have become thorns in the fresh of the genuine land owners.
On empowerment he said "I want to empower the unemployed youths and those willing to be apprentices in various skill acquisitions we will see to it and after their apprenticeship we will financially sponsor them to be self reliant"
