ASMATA PG commissions Dried Meat and General Food market

It was jubilation.galore when the President General, PG, Anambra State Markets Amalgamated Traders' Association, ASMATA, Chief Humphrey Anuna, weekend commissioned the Dried Meat and General Food market, Eziumunya, Oyi Local Government Area, Anambra State.
Speaking during the cutting of the tape to declare the market opened, Chief Anuna described the location of the market as unique stating that God is behind the location as it is and expansive land located along the Onitsha/Enugu Expressway.
He said that the traders are blessed to have gotten the land and commended the people in the area for giving out their land for markets even as he expressed satisfaction with the Oyi Local Government Area Chairman, Hon. Emmanuel Nweke stating that it is in his tenure that the good things are happening.
Speaking, the council boss, Nweke, while admitting that it is in his tenure that Oyi is developing, expressed satisfaction and gave glory to God for His kindness.
His words, "It is a thing of joy and it goes to show that our land is fertile and conducive for trading and other things.Onitsha is filled and development is coming towards here.
"When the righteous is in power the people rejoice and when the wicked is in power the people suffer.we will celebrate Christmas in a very good secured environment and I commend Governor Chukwuma Soludo for providing the enabling environment," he assured..
Recall that the occasion was preceded by a prayer session presided over by Rev. Fr. Pius Nwankwo of St. Anthony of Padua Church, Nkpor.
In his vote of thanks/response, the chairman of the market, Mr. Ikechukwu Aniude, who was flanked by his secretary, Chinonso Aniobi, thanked the council chairman, ASMATA PG, indigenes of Umunya, and others who contributed immensely towards the success of the commissioning.
He paid glowing tribute to the ASMATA PG, Special Adviser to Governor Soludo on Trade and Markets, Hon. Evarist Uba and Governor Soludo for making it possible for their market to be commissioned.
