Senator Tony Nwonye, representing Anambra North District, who will be the Chief guest of honour, Hon. Innocent Ojike, Special guest of honour, among others, are said to be among personalities billed to witness the honouring of two Catholic priests, Rev. Fathers John Paul Obigwe and Elochukwu Muokwe, by St.Augustine Parish, 3-3 Omeife, Nkwelle-Ezunaka, Oyi Local Government Area, Anambra State, on Sunday.
The priests were said to have within their two years stay, been able to transform the Parish to the best of their abilities spiritually, infrastructionally and fraternally.
The Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Comrade Evang.Vincent Ezekwueme who was flanked by the Vice Chairman, Parish Council, Mr. Edwin Mboyi, Committee Secretary, Mr. Chibuike Okeke, Dr. Nwanneka Tony-Chinedu, Lolo Ngozi Okafor, Sir Ebuka Chukwudolue, among others, made this disclosure to newsmen Thursday.
According to Ezekwueme, also to be celebrated same day include, Patron Saint of the Parish, Saint Augustine and cutting of birthday cake of our Blessed Mother of Christ Virgin Mary and delivering of public Lecture by a resource person on, "life and times of St.Augustine".
The occasion will be under the distinguished chairmanship of High Chief Sir Tony Chinedu, Board member, Anambra State Independent Electoral Commission. while Hon.Innocent Ojike(Ojicam) will be the Special Guest of Honour.
Expressing satisfaction with the preparation, Sir Ebuka Chukwudoluo stated that the climax of the event will be cutting of birthday cake of Blessed Virgin Mary, presentation of gifts, and unveiling of flex of who is who in the Parish.
Lady Dr. Nwanneka Tony-Chinedu stated that necessary arrangements have been made to ensure hitchfree and memorable event.
Ezekwueme, while paying glowing tribute to the parish priest, said, "In a very special way, we commend the Chief Host, our Parish Priest ,Rev. Fr. Fidelis Chiefe, and the Vicar Rev. Fr. Christopher Onwurah, for their prayers, support and advice".
