A renowned political pressure group called Orji Uzor Kalu (OUK) Grassroots Movement of Nigeria has hailed the Appeal Court sitting in Abuja the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) for dismissing the bid of Federal Government to retry former governor of Abia State Senate Orji Uzor Kalu over alleged N7.6billion fraud describing the judgement as a "wonderful voice" of good justice.

The Federal Government had gone to Appeal Court to upturn the judgement of a High Court which also dismissed the request to retry Senator Kalu. Delivering the Judgement, the presiding judge justice Oyewole held that the record of appeal brought by the Federal Government was incompetent and unreliable for any court to use to grant its request.

Speaking further on the judgement the Convener and National leader of the OUK Movement Alhaji Muritala Mohammed alias ten ten appealed to the Federal Government to as a matter of justice accorded to Senator Kalu by High Court and Appeal Court respectively to sheath their sword and leave him to focus on his legislative assignment in the Senate Chamber of the National Assembly ( NASS)

Alhaji ten ten who is also the Deputy National Chairman of Heavy Duty Trucks and Haulage Transport Association of Nigeria with over 18,000 members nationwide corroborated the comments of other well meaning Nigerians who opined that  the continuous trial of Kalu who is representing Abia North  zone in the Senate by Economic and financial Crime Commission (EFCC) is unfair ill- treatment that amount to intimidation for nothing sake.

He added " Nigerians including prominent leaders have spoken against the continuous trial of our Principal Senator Orji Uzor Kalu as unfair and we are commending them for standing against injustice, so we are appealing to the Federal government to drop the case against our Principal to enable him focus on his job at Abuja and also focus on building APC in the Southeast and nationwide"
