Anambra Based Journalist Celebrates Birthday With Orphans, Less privileged

In order to express his gratitude to God for adding one year to his life, the Anambra State based Journalist, Mr. Eche Nwobasi has visited orphanage homes and indigent ones.

He visited them with Cabin Biscuits, creats of mineral drinks, cash and other goodies which he used to  celebrate his birthday with them.

Eche Nwobasi who is a correspondent staff of Daily Independent Newspaper disclosed that his motive to celebrate his birthday with orphanage Children and less privileged ones was due to prevalent situation of Nigeria.

He equally added that he want to use his orphanage visit to draw the attention of people especially the rich, political leaders and the followers on the imperatives of reaching out to the poor in the society, offering sacrifices and paying attention to less privileged ones in the society.

He noted that he has observed that people of nowadays are selfish to the extent that they are no longer care for their neighbors let alone remembering the poor.

" We tend to be selfish in this era. Everybody minds him or her self. Nobody cares about his neighbor or some others let alone thinking  about the poor and that is one of my major aim of visiting less privileged ones and orphanage homes. I want to draw the attention of both the rich and government so that they could feel the plight of the poor no matter how little"

In a special way, he eulogized God for being kind upon his life, saying that when he cast his mind back especially journey of his life, he would say that God is so good to him and he give all glory to Him.

" If I have enough money, I would have celebrated my birthday more than expected. Infact, I will be celebrating my birthday with orphans and I will make it to be part of my life. I will not only be thinking about myself. I will be impacting life to the poor with the little I have. The greatest religion is almsgiving and sacrifices. I am appealing to my fellow Christians to also indulge in offering sacrifices as we worship God because it goes a long way in someone's life"

Meanwhile, the orphanage homes which the celebrant visited and as well received prayers from the Children included; Fiat Missionaries Orphanage home and Ify Homes For The Needy Children Home and Orphans. Both of the orphanage homes are situated at St. Stephen's Road In-land Town Onitsha, Anambra State.
