ASMATA, AIRS brainstorm on revenue generation

The leadership of Anambra State Markets Almagamated Traders Association (ASMATA) and Anambra Internal Revenue Service (AIRS), Tuesday, brainstormed on revenue generation.
Chief Humphrey Anuna, the ASMATA President General, PG, played host to AIRS that was ably represented by the Coordinator of Market Payment and Compliance unit, -Engr. Chike Odoji and Management of Bigly Oil and Gas LTD, at the ASMATA Secretariat along Modebe road, Onitsha.
Addressing ASMATA executives and market chairmen on means of revenue generation, Engr Odoji directed markets chairmen to visit ASMATA secretariat from Monday 18th of September 2023 to access manifest that would enable them process payment of traders' tax at the various markets they were heading .
AIRS representative at the meeting also used the opportunity of the gathering to inform the house of an ongoing efforts to host an expanded stakeholders meeting at the State capital with Special Adviser to Anambra State Governor on Trade and Market, Chief Evarist Ubah, who was in attendance at the meeting.
On the other hand ,the management of Bigly Oil and Gas LTD which was officially designated by the State Government for the collection of statewide haulage tax informed ASMATA leadership of their intent to collaborate together to achieve a coordinated and organized purpose towards Haulage tax collection in the State.
