Anambra monarch pays courtesy call on ABS, commends MD for effective performance

The traditional ruler of Nawfia, Njikoka Local Government Area, Anambra State, HRM, Igwe Amb.  Dan Obelle, (Ezeudo), has paid a courtesy call on Anambra State Broadcasting Station, ABS, at Awka, State capital.

Igwe Obelle who was accompanied by one of his cabinet members, Chief Chike Nwegbe Nnabuenyi, was on being welcomed by the Managing Director, MD, of ABS, Hon. Chido Obidiecwu, expressed satisfaction with what he saw during the visit.

Commending Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo for appointing a capable hand, Chido, to pilot the affairs of the station, the monarch said that based on the experience of Chido, he has been able to not only present quality information dissemination but had made the ABS to have wider scope.

He urged the staff and management not to relent in their efforts towards making the state a better place to live in through their station, which according to the monarch, is a State owned media outfit.

In his response, the MD thanked the monarch for finding it worthy to pay a courtesy call on ABS despite his tight schedules and prayed God to grant the monarch the strength and life to pilot the affairs of the community.

Chido described traditional rulers as fathers and custodians of culture who have been contributing to the development of the their various communities and the state at large.
