A team of officers of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Anambra State have identified with the President General of Ogbaru Main Market, Onitsha Anambra State, Mr. Ndubuisi Ochiogu and his executives.
Speaking during the event, the leader of the team, DCC Okora . A. Awassam expressed that their mission to the Market was to identify with the President General of the Market, Mr. Ndubuisi Ochiogu who she described as one of the friends of the corps.
Awassam who also represented the State Sector Commander of Federal Road Safety corps, Mr. Adeoye Irelewuyi added that they as well came to appreciate God and celebrate with Mr. Ochiogu for his reinstatement as the elected President General of the Market by the State government.
She revealed that they are aware of tremendous achievements of Mr. Ochiogu in the Market, stating that God is using him to reposition the Market and blesses so many.
" Sir, we actually came to celebrate with you because you later returned back as the duely elected President of this Market. So, your returning back testified that you are upright and a good person. You are our friend and we always identify with people who are around us because they are our friends" Said Awassam.
She assured Ochiogu to always feel free to call their Office whenever vehicle of any members of his Market impounds by corps officer, even as she made him known that such privilege doesn't mean that drivers in his Market should insult Corps officers on the road.
She explained that the Federal Road Safety Corps( FRSC) had been preaching that people should stop staying at the back of articulated vehicles, saying that it is dangerous and could cause lose of more lives in case of accident.
She urged the traders to always be conscious of Safety in whatever they are doing as well as preach Safety, praying that God would continue to use Mr. Ochiogu to bless humanity and equally cement relationship he already created with the corps.
Appreciating his guests, Mr. Ochiogu eulogized them in a special way, affirming that he is a friend to the corps and recalled how he assist corps officers who stations at Upper Iweka axis in his little way.
He appealed to them to repeat the visit in two weeks period in order to meet the entire traders of the Market at their prayer arena and enlighten them on the road safety measures, rules and as well as sensitize them not to assume Federal Road Safety Corps as their enemies but their friends.
He pleaded with them to always see traders as people who are novice and ignorance as far as Road Safety rules and regulations are concerned.
Mr. Ochiogu equally went memory lane and enumerated his achievements and also dwelt extensively on the imperatives of security especially in the Market which he said he has mounted solar lights both inside and around the Market as his latest achievements in the Market.
Some Market executives which included; General Secretary of the Market, Mr. Wisdom Obasi and his Vice Secretary counterpart, Mr. Bucknor Agu rained praises to the Corps officers, saying that for them to come to identify with their President General depicts huge love they have for their Market.
They pledged to assist the Corps if the need arises and appealed to them to always cooperate with any members of the Market as their friends.
