Make Way Enforcement Teams Inaugurates In Onitsha To Assist Traders

The Anambra State Markets Amalgamated Traders Association ( ASMATA) has inaugurated Make Way Enforcement teams in Onitsha, Anambra State.

The inauguration which was held at ASMATA Secretariat office, Modebe Avenue Onitsha was conducted by the branch zones of Apex Markets leaders comprising Onitsha zone, Ogbaru zone and Idemili zone  and was witnessed by the President general of Anambra State Markets Amalgamated Traders Association ( ASMTA), Chief Humphrey Anuna and other executives respectively.

Inaugurating Make Way teams, the leader of Markets branch zones, Chief Ndubisi Ochiogu prayed that God will lead them in their duties and warned them to focus on their duties without  abusing it like previous people who served.

" What you are called is to perfect some areas where things are going wrong. Do not operate beyond your own zone. Be mindful of your duties" Ochiogu warned them.

In there separate speeches, the Onitsha zone branch Market leader, Chief Eric Uwaoma and his  Idemili zone counterpart, Chief Emma Obiagwu told the Make Way teams to always abide by the instructions given to them by  the ASMATA President general, pointing out that whoever operates beyond such instructions  does that on his own risky.

Also commenting, the commander of the Make Way, Hon. Uche Ozoigbo noted that the president general of ASMATA, Chief Humphrey Anuna wants the freedom of traders by creating Make Way Enforcement teams and that is the purpose of recruiting them.

He warned them to strictly adhere and work according to instructions as he would not tolerate illegality from them instead let the person simply resigne.  

Speaking at the inauguration, the President general of ASMATA, Chief Humphrey Anuna expressed his gratitude to the traders and Inaugurated Make Way Enforcement teams, describing the day as a very important day for the Make Way teams.

He said that Make Way was created by ASMATA executives in order to ameliorate the sufferings of Anambra State traders and also a selected team he would present to the Governor as the  tested and trusted team that would collect revenue and discharge other duties for the interest of the traders.

Onwa as he fondly Called stated that Make Way team are selected traders and warned the commander not to recruit people who are not traders or who is engaged to any other work force.

He also warned the Make Way team not to insult Market Chairmen as they go about doing their duties, saying that he would equally engage with people who will always monitors them  and give him information about their conducts.

" You must follow due process while discharging your duties. Always carry me along in  your duties to avoid misconduct. I didn't create Make Way to abuse Market Chairmen or innocent traders. Discharge your duties diligently. We shall gather again for me to brief you people more on what will be  your duties" Said the Pg"
